The Wright's on Vacation: Downsize Me...not!

Well we have 10 days to go before we start our epic journey and time is flying by. We still have so much to do, down to the real nitty gritty like updating our wills, applying for visa's, haircuts, getting extra keys cut, drawing up a contact list for mum, buying international adaptors etc and the list goes on. We have had our family photos taken which was a very taxing experience although somewhat easier than getting Spencer's passport photo which is saying something.

Priorities now are catching up with friends and family before heading off and time is getting really slim, so we apologise if we aren't able to see all of you.

Despite trying to save money we seem to be haemmoraging cash. My one pair of jeans has suddenly got a hole in the knee and my sunglasses broke (two absolute necessities to have!), our mole maps cost loads and we've had to have a roof fixed on one of the properties. As a result Justin broached the subject of downsizing our American accomodation from a "pop up" caravan to a combi van....well he got NOWHERE. I mean he wouldn't even be able to fit in it to sleep lengthwise. Personally I think I saved our marriage by insisting we stick to the status quo.

Meanwhile I have downsized Justin's luggage, he now has the kid's bag and the kids will have his big one. Staying with Mum has been awesome and great for the kids to spend time with her too but naughty Nana can't help herself, she has bought them loads of winter clothes not to mention knitting up some gorgeous items all of which need packing!

The kids are doing brilliantly and have slotted into living at Nana's really well. We have also been able to see a bit more of cousin Ashlee which Leo loves and of course Nana's cooking goes down SOOOO well. I'm going to have to poach her recipes thats for sure.
